Come and join us for revitalizing and stress reducing yoga.  Persons of all ages, body types and levels of physical condition are encouraged to come and experience this ancient and beautiful practice.

My classes emphasize proper body alignment with a focus on the breath.  Specific and easy instructions are given as we flow from one posture to another, allowing us to experience our bodies from the inside out.

  • Bring a yoga mat if you have one.  If not, mats are available for you to use.

Meet the teacher...

My name is Terry Buchanan.  I began practicing Yoga in 2005 in an attempt to manage my high blood pressure, which persisted despite decades of running and weightlifting since my early 20s. A diuretic prescribed by my doctor left me feeling unwell, so I decided to try yoga after frequently passing by a local studio.

From my very first class, I was captivated—yoga brought a sense of calm and peace unlike anything else, even surpassing the calm I felt from running. I was completely hooked.

In June 2007, I earned my 200-hour teacher certification through Yandara, a California-based program with a training site in Mexico, where I lived on the beach and immersed myself in daily yoga for a month—an unforgettable experience.  My teacher training specialized in Iyengar-based Hatha Yoga.

I’ve also completed Ashtanga Primary Series Teacher Training with David Swenson and attended workshops with Beryl Bender Birch, Simon Park, Dharma Mittra, and Michael Buck for Thai Massage, deepening my practice and teaching.

From 2008 to 2011, I owned and managed Bend and Breathe, a yoga studio in Chadds Ford, where I taught a diverse range of classes, from beginner-friendly sessions to intense Ashtanga yoga.

I look forward to meeting you!

"Yoga has transformed my life so deeply that I'm eager to share the practice with others."
